Los premios de la Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA; por sus siglas en inglés), mejor conocidos como Globos de Oro tuvieron lugar en el hotel Beverly Hilton en Los Ángeles. En dicha ceremonia se ha reconocido lo mejor del cine y de la televisión. Este año causa bastante expectativa pues Netflix se encuentra a la cabeza de las nominaciones, mientras que Apple, que recientemente lanzó sus producciones originales, ha conseguido colarse con una de sus series, la genial The Morning Show.

En la alfombra roja, así como la premiación veremos a grandes de la industria: como Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johansson, Al Pacino, Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston, Laura Dern, y muchos más que se destacaron durante el año pasado por su trabajo. En esta edición la ceremonia fue conducida por Ricky Gervais, para este comediante es la quinta ocasión en la que se desempeña como host del evento.
